US Agency Helps Rebrand Canada

(July 1, 2017 – Toronto, ON) Despite all the hoopla and the buildup to Canada Day 2017, which seems to have started as the new year began, Canada still has a problem in the United States. Rick Mercer built his career in part by heading south of the border and taping a series of interactions titled Talking to Americans, which showed just how little most US citizens know about The Great White North.

Ever wonder what might happen if a New York-based advertising agency won the assignment to boost Canada’s profile? So did Robert Laplante, founder of Media-Corp. With July 1st fast approaching he decided to mark the celebration by creating a video about Americans ‘not getting’ Canada. He enlisted the help of 2 top funny men, CBC’s Pat Kelly and Peter Oldring as a tribute to the Canadian milestone and to show appreciation for Canada’s unique culture.
