(May 6, 2018 – Toronto, ON) Ever since she departed Grey’s Anatomy, fans of Sandra Oh, including us, have wondered about where she had gone and what she was doing. The answer is, Sandra Oh has been working and she returns this summer in a critically acclaimed spy thriller mini-series titled Killing Eve, exclusively in Canada on Bravo.

Originally produced for BBC America, Bravo picked up Killing Eve from distributor AMC Studios. The eight part mini-series follows the intertwining lives of two women – Eve Polastri, played by Sandra Oh, is a quick-witted but bored MI5 security services operative whose desk job conflicts with her ambitions of being a spy, and Villanelle (Jodie Comer), a polished, highly skilled killer-for-hire, who enjoys the rich benefits that come from her violent career. As the two fiercely intelligent women go head to head, they become equally obsessed and entangled with one another in a combination of brutal mischief making, sharp humour, and high-stakes action.

It’s a suspenseful cat-and-mouse high-stakes take on the spy thriller genre that is based on the novellas by Luke Jennings. It made its debut on BBC America to rave reviews, and has already received a call for a second season. The Hollywood Reporter said “Killing Eve is relentlessly engaging and surprising where it’s least expected, making for the next must-see show of 2018.”

Following its broadcast run on Bravo, Killing Eve will stream exclusively on CraveTV. “The acquisition of this marquee series is the next step in the continued evolution of Bravo as Canada’s must-watch premium specialty channel,” said Mike Cosentino, President, Content and Programming, Bell Media.

Speaking to Vogue magazine about this series and her experience as an actress of Asian descent in Hollywood, Sandra Oh said, “It’s taken me 30 years to get this part.” Oh also serves as associate producer on Killing Eve where she plays an American living in London.

Produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd. for BBC America, Waller-Bridge is lead writer, showrunner and executive producer. Sally Woodward Gentle and Lee Morris are executive producers, and Colin Wratten is producer.

No premiere date has been announced by Bravo, but it is expected to air this summer.
