Robert Joseph Farnon was a musician before turning to arranging and composing He played trumpet in a number of Torontobased big bands in the 1930s and gravitated toward the Canadian Radio Broadcasting Commissions orchestras led by Percy Faith and Geoffery Waddington He became a regular on the longrunning CBC radio series The Happy Gang between 1937 and 1943 He then headed to Europe during the war as Musical Director of the Army Show At the end of WWII he decided to stay in England and became a conductor composer and arranger for the BBC In addition to composing for film he also arranged music for such wellknown singers as Vera Lynn Lena Horne and Frank SinatrabrbrLearn more abouta hreffarnonrobertbio Robert Farnonabrbrbr
