R.T. Thorne

Starting his career in 2002 as a music video director and now with more than 60 music videos to his name, R.T.Thorne shot his short film, Neutered, in 2011 and his first made-for-TV movie in 2013.  Sometimes credited as Randall Thorne, he is known for the highly successful 2022 mini-series The Porter, where he served as Executive Producer, co-director and co-screenwriter . He got his first Producer credit in 2010 as a co-producer on the short, Balancing Act. He has helmed projects for Netflix, Disney, HULU, NBCUniversal and CBC. In 2015 he won best short film at the Canada Film Festival for The Time Traveler. In 2018, Thorne was the recipient of Telefilm’s Talent to Watch fund and was accepted to the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival Talent Lab. He is pictured when he was the creator, executive producer, writer and director of  Utopia Falls, a CBC Gem original series.
