“This year’s competition features an assortment of works that range from the outrageous (Ballmastrz) and absurd (Little Edy, Haha You Clowns), to the more thought-provoking (I am a Robot, Yellowbird -pictured above-) and mesmerizing (The Sandman),” says OIAF Artistic Director Chris Robinson. “If there was ever any doubt that animation isn’t just for kids, this competition should put that tired old cliche to rest once and for all.”

At the time of their selection for the Festival, the Animated Series category includes a number of premieres. Animated Robot will have its world premiere at the OIAF. Additional series in this category with premiere status include Boys Boys Boys ‘Tristan’, an animated documentary series, that will make its North American debut, and The Sandman ‘A Dream of a Thousand Cats’ and Yellowbird with their respective Canadian premiere status.
