NFB Lands Another Oscar® Nomination

Photo of Torill Kove © Lois Siegel.(January 15, 2015 – Toronto, ON) The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) continued its record-setting pace at the Academy Awards when the 2015 nominations were announced this morning and carried live on Northernstars.ca. Torill Kove’s Me and My Moulton, co-produced by the NFB and Norway’s Mikrofilm AS, has been nominated for Best Animated Short Film. bringing the NFB`s total to 73 nominations, more than any film organization in the world outside Hollywood. Kove is n stranger to the Academy Awards®. She directed the 2006 Oscar-winning, NFB-co-produced short The Danish Poet, as well as her Oscar-nominated debut film, My Grandmother Ironed the King’s Shirts.

Me and My Moulton is Kove’s latest whimsical semi-autobiographical work. It tells the tale of a seven-year-old girl with unconventional parents who envies other normal Norwegian families of the 1960s
