In a small Québec town, Nicole, who is 22, has graduated from college and is facing another long, dull summer while her parents are away on vacation. She spends most of her time with her best friend Veronica. One day, her older brother Rémi arrives with other members of his band hoping to record an album. Their presence quickly undermines the relationship between the two old friends. It quickly becomes clear to Nicole that something must — and will — change. Summer, marked by a heatwave, sees Nicole dealing with growing insomnia and the insistent advances of a 10 year old boy. Tu dors Nicole (You Sleep Nicole) humorously observes the beginning of adulthood and its chance of potential.
