The Dirties follows the lives of two friends in high school who are harassed by a group of bullies they call “The Dirties”. They devise elaborate plans to get back at them, including the idea to shoot a Do-It-Yourself comedy about getting vengeance on the bullies by catching them on film. But one of the pair soon begins to wonder if his partner is looking to make their revenge fantasy a reality. Clearly, one of them isn’t joking. The Dirties was made on an estimated production budget of $10,000.
The Dirties won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative at the 2013 Slamdance Film Festival.
