Summerhood has so far won seven of the nine film festivals it has entered including being named Best Comedy at the Family Film Festival and being selected the winner of the Audience Award at the Atlantic Film Festival. The film is based on Jacob Medjuck’s diary from when he was 10-years-old. When he came across it a few years ago he thought, “Wouldn’t it be fun to hear kids act this out loud?”
