Na Young and Hae Sung are 12-year-old classmates who develop feelings for one another and go on a date set up by their parents. Shortly thereafter, Na Young’s family leaves South Korea and settles in Toronto and she changes her name to Nora Moon. The two friends lose contact. Years later, Nora Moon movies to New York and thanks to social media, they can reconnect, at least online. Twelve years after that, Nora is now married, but she meets with Hae Sung in New York. For one fateful week they confront notions of destiny, love, and the choices that make a life.
