90 minutes – Horror, Thriller
Release date: July 27, 2018
Canadian distributor: Elevation Pictures
Science wiz kid Ethan (Thomas Mann) is dealing with enormous guilt following the death of his parents in a car accident. He decides to put his promising future on hold and quits MIT, he also leaves his girlfriend Hannah (Nicola Peltz) behind in order to return home to care for his younger brother and sister. He spends his days handling the responsibility of raising his two siblings, but when darkness falls, Ethan steals away to the garage to work on an invention he hopes will change the world: a machine that can generate wireless electricity. As expected (this is a thriller after all), Ethan gets far more than he was looking for when his invention actually animates dead souls that come to haunt the house. As Ethan and his siblings try to make contact with their parents, a terrifying realization sets in: not all the spirits in their midst are friendly.
