Tyler (Sarah Gadon) has just been fired. Later that same day she learns her estranged father, Octavio, has passed away. She has grown up with her overbearing mother who made sure she believed that her father wanted nothing to do with her. But when Tyler meets Octavio’s lawyer, she learns that she has inherited his decrepit and eccentric apartment—an apartment that both scares her and compels her to change her life as she tries to discover the father she never got the chance to meet.
