Twenty-three year old Nadia has decided to retire from professional swimming after the Olympics. She sees her life as a life of sacrifice and needs a change. After her last race, she slips away into nights of excess, but this new phase is simply transient and cannot hide her real inner quest: to define her identity outside the world of high level sport.
Nadia, Butterfly is an official selection of the 73rd edition of the Cannes film Festival. It stars Olympic swimmer Katerine Savard in the role of Nadia. This is Pascal Plante’s second feature film.
