Gabrielle, une prostituée remet au nouveau juge Jacques Savard (Michel Côté) une liste de noms de magistrats qui ont retenu ses services. Malgré les pressions de ses collègues incriminés, et le meurtre de l’avocat de Gabrielle, Savard hésite à la rendre publique.

Following the trial of a judge who was found with prostitute Gabrielle Angers (Geneviève Brouillette), Gabrielle gives a list of her clients to a new judge, Jacques Savard (Michel Côté), which contains the names of some very influential judges and politicians. Dead bodies and death threats follow. Jacques’ own life seems to be in danger.

Jean-Marc Vallée made his feature debut with Liste Noire (Black List), and also edited the film. Described as a “strikingly stylish erotic thriller,” it was a first for its genre in Québec cinema, and became the highest-grossing film in the province in 1995. It was honoured with nine nominations, include Best Film, at the 16th Genie Awards.
