When a Syrian emigrant’s (Alexander Siddig) journalist daughter goes missing in Damascus, he is forced to return to his homeland after a 30-year absense to find her. In order to find out where she has gone, he calls on a former lover (Marisa Tomei) to help him. An embassy official (Joshua Jackson) who appears to be helpful winds up having an agenda of his own in this taut thriller from Ruba Nadda.
