Based on the 2002 book of the same name by Mara Leveritt, Devil’s Knot was filmed in Morrow and Atlanta, Georgia and is about the West Memphis Three. A fact-base crime drama with very disturbing overtones, it concerns the savage 1993 murders of three young children in West Memphis, Arkansas, which led to a controversial trial of three teenagers accused of killing the kids as part of a satanic ritual. Sentenced variously from life in prison to death, the three were released in 2011 and are now seeking full pardon. Devil’s Knot had its World Premiere at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
