Jonah, an unemployed gambler has lost a lot of in a poker game. He decides to take his estranged pot-smoking teen-aged daughter Aurora (US actress Joey King) on a dangerous road trip to Churchill, Manitoba to show her the magnificent Northern Lights – before her vision disorder renders her completely blind. It’s also convenient that the trip gets him out of town before he has to pay off his volatile bookie. What he doesn’t realize is that the two of them are being followed by collectors Tubby (US actor Kevin Pollak) and Brick (Clé Bennett).
