In the first installment of her adventures, Aurélie Laflamme was making sense of her place in the universe. Released in 2010, that film was titled Le journal d’Aurélie Laflamme. Based on the novel by Executive Producer and co-screenwriter India Desjardins, the story picks up about two years later and Aurélie is searching for her place in life, her place in the world. She is in “Secondary 5” her last year of high school, where she encounters all the hurdles typical of the final phase of this important life chapter. This is the year of choices, when students discover the difference between dreams and reality, when they must learn to let go of a past they may not be ready to leave behind, just before plunging into the unknown and towards the future.
