A Drummer`s Dream is a rare and unique assembly of some of the greatest drummers in the world. With explosive talent, passion, humour and irresistible personality seven diverse drummers came together to create a profound and unforgettable musical and personal experience. It is quite likely that you’ve never seen drummers like this before. The film engages us with music styles and influences that are as dynamic as the performers themselves. At the center of the film is the warm-hearted Nasyr and his musician friends who share their knowledge with 40 students for an unforgettable week of music and camaraderie. The philosophy of these musicians is underscored by love, compassion and joy.
A Drummer’s Dream won the FIPA d’Or Grand Prize in the Performing Arts category at the 24th Festival international des programmes audiovisuels (FIPA) held in Biarritz, France in January 2011.
