Martin Villeneuve pictured above on the set of emMars et Avrilem Villeneuve showed an interest in writing and drawing at an early age and attended the college Jean de Brebeuf from 1995 to 1997 It was here that he made his first foray in photography and cinema Later he moved on to Concordia University to study film and the Universit du Qubec Montral to study graphic design He spent three years as an art director at the Sid Lee Agency working for clients like Cirque du Soleil He helped create advertising campaigns for shows like Zumanity K and Corteo Going freelance in 2005 he directed the TV advertising for the Cirque du Soleil shows Delirium and Saltimbanco Martin Villeneuve is also an author He created both volumes of the graphic novel emMars et Avrilem cover shown below on which his scififantasy film is based as well as the comic book emLa voix du tonnerreem In 2014 emImeldaem won Quebecs Best Short Film Award at Festival Images en vues as well as a Special Mention from the jury in the category Best Canadian Short Film at the FICFAbr br Also see brother a hrefvilleneuvedenisDenis Villeneuvea brbrbr
