George Bloomfield was a highly experienced theatre television and film director After postgraduate work in psychology and philosophy at McGill University he began his career at the NFB in 1957 but he didnrsquot stay there long From 1963 to 1968 he wrote directed and produced some of the best dramas for the CBC for the prestigious iFestivali series Bloomfield also had a role in front of the cameras in the 1986 feature ema hrefhttpswwwnorthernstarscaandthenyoudieAnd Then You Dieaem Bloomfield died after a 30 year battle with heart disease diabetes cancer and kidney diseasebrbrbr
