Gail Harvey is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker. She attended Centennial College and Glendon College at York to study French and went to OCAD University and the Toronto School of Art. The French lessons came in handy when she lived in Paris. Harvey is mom to a Katie Boland and hiphop artist Michael Boland. She was given a 2020 Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction TV Movie for her work on No One Would Tell.
