(March 5, 2014 – Toronto, Ontario) The Canadian Screen Awards got off to a great start last night at downtown Toronto`s Sheraton Hotel. Despite some last minute chaos, which is normal for such high pressure events, the first of three awards ceremonies came off without a hitch. Hosted by comedian Steve Patterson, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, which presents the awards, handed out a total of 47 coveted trophies in the categories of News & Sports, Documentary, Lifestyle, Reality and Digital Media’ |
