Cameras Roll on Hunter’s Moon

(August 12, 2014 – Toronto, Ontario) Production is set to begin tomorrow, August 13 on a new film from writer-director Matt Campagna, pictured above. Hunter’s Moon is about an eccentric billionaire who spirals out of control when during an extravagant launch party for his new werewolf mobile game, a body turns up. Turns out it`s just the first body. And so begins a heart-pounding race for survival of the fittest.

Matt Campagna, best known as an indie filmmaker who after a few films made his mark in 2008 with the micro-budget feature, Six Reasons Why, starring Colm Feore. Campagna has written and directed films for eOne, the SyFy Network and Sony Home Video. Hunter’s Moon costars Holly Deveaux (Spun Out, Hemlock Grove), Steven Morana ;Six Reasons Why, movie poster;(Gemini Award Winner), Katie Boland (Reign), Art Hindle (Invasion of the Body Snatchers) and Ari Millen (Orphan Black).

Rounding out the creative team is Director of Photography David Stuart (Centuries of Torment) and Producer Nic Izzi (Gallop Meets The Earth). On the technical side, Hunter’s Moon will be the first production in Canada to be shot on the new Sony A7S Camera.

The production company behind the feature is Men of Characters, which was established when Steven Morana and Nic Izzi combined their experience, talents and resources to produce top talent, high quality films. In an effort to bring new productions to the city of Toronto, Men of Characters produces highly creative films, without high risk. Hunter`s Moon will be the company`s first feature and is slated for release in the fall of this year.
