Anne Émond

Anne Émond is a Québec-based filmmaker. Her short film Lordre des choses was nominated for a Jutra award for the best short or medium-length Quebec film of the year and received the Coop Vidéo award for Best Short Film at the 2009 Rendezvous du cinéma Québecois. Meanwhile, Naissances was chosen one of the best Canadian short films of the year and received the Air Canada-Spafax award at the 2009 Prends a court festival. It also won the Gold Kazoo for the Best Short at the Francophone Film Festival in Kalamazoo Michigan in 2010. Her first feature Nuit #1 was named Best Canadian Film at the 2011 Vancouver International Film Festival. Anne Émond was given the 2012 Jutra Award for First time feature directors for her film Nuit #1. She is pictured at the 2012 Genie Awards in Toronto.
