Matt Ward is pictured above as Dr. Brian Decker in a publicity still from the Global TV series, Remedy. As a child, he studied and took part in many disciplines from academic to athletic but it wasn’t until he reached middle school that he discovered his talent for dance. His focus narrowed, and he spent much of his energy on break-dancing and popping. In high school, he performed in the dance group White Chocolate, which saw him open for and backup acts ranging from Ashanti, Ludacris, Sean Paul and, most notably, Queen Elizabeth II at her Golden Jubilee. After high school, Ward left home to pursue a career in acting. His dancing skills and athleticism led him to be cast in a variety of TV shows and films. He hs worked with actors like Forrest Whitaker, Rupert Friend, Clemence Poesy and one of his favourite actors, Gary Oldman. Ward played the role of Derek Conners opposite Zac Efron in Charlie St. Cloud. He has lived in Vancouver on and off since 2004.
