Vinessa Lynn Antoine made Canadian TV history when the first episode of Diggstown aired in 2019. She became the first Black Canadian actress to star in a prime-time drama on legacy network television, playing the lead role of Marcie Diggs, a top corporate lawyer who decides to dedicate herself to a legal aid office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Diggstown, which ran from 2019 to 2022. Vinessa Antoine had previously costarred as Judith Winter in 40 episodes of the Canadian series Being Erica and played Jordan Ashford in more than 275 episodes of the US series General Hospital.
