Victoria Pratt grew up in the small Ontario town of Chesley. After she graduated with a degree in kinesiology from Toronto York University, she took a job in the University`s performance lab, while she co-authored a book on fitness and body building. To help with pictures for the book, she approached the publisher of the magazines MuscleMag, Oxygen, and American Health and Fitness, Robert Kennedy. Spotting a budding talent, he arranged for her to have a photo session and a few months later she was on the cover of one of his magazines. He also convinced her to take some acting classes and two years later she started looking for an agent. On her first professional audition she landed a guest spot on the then new series, Once A Thief. The rest, as they say, is history. Born Victoria Ann Nina Pratt she sometimes turns up in the credits as Vicky Pratt.
