Tara Spencer-Nairn was born in Montréal but grew up on the west coast where she spent 12 years as a competitive gymnast. She is a graduate of the prestigious Shawnigan Lake School, which she attended after her rebellious nature resulted in her being “asked to leave” another private school. She is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School, a resident of Vancouver and the youngest of three siblings. Along with her fellow Corner Gas cast members, she was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2004 and 2006 for best comedy ensemble performance, and won the award in 2007. She is pictured at the 2019 Canadian Screen Awards.
