Stephanie Pitsiladis

Stephanie Pitsiladis got her start as a performer at John Abbott College in Québec. She made her professional stage debut playing Tracy in the Canadian Premiere of Hairspray as one of the original Canadian cast, and was the first Canadian to ever perform the role. She worked with the original Tony award winning creative team from New York including; Jack O’Brien, Jerry Mitchell, Marc Shaiman, and Scott Wittman. While working on Hairspray she was lucky enough to receive advice from John Waters himself, who was the creator of the original movie. Since then she’s performed the starring role of Tracy all over Canada while sharing the stage with George Wendt (Cheers). She’s also been seen in GreaseLittle Shop of Horrors, and the Canadian Premiere of the musical The Gefilte Fish Chronicles. She won best vocal performance in the Next Wave Festival Of New Musicals, and ranked top five in New York while competing in Broadway Idol. She has also directed Gilbert and Sullivan shows for the Montreal West Operatic Society and has also written, performed, and directed her own work. Patch Town marks her feature film debut.
