Sophie Desmarais is a graduate of the Option-théâtre du Collège Lionel-Groulx, She studied both classical ballet and tap dancing. In addition to her work in film and television, Desmarais is also a stage actor. She played the role of Amélie Boutet in 32 episodes of Mon ex à moi in 2015-2016. She plays Charlène Baribeau in District 31, a Québec TV drama series about one of the 36 police districts in the city of Montréal that began running in September of 2016.
