Sonja Bennett

Actor-writer-producer Sonja Bennett studied at Vancouver’s Studio 58 theatre school. She graduated in 2003 and was the recipient of the Earl Klein Memorial Scholarship in her last term. She received the “best Canadian actress in a lead role” award from the Vancouver Film Critics Circle and a special citation for artistic achievement from the Women in Film and Video for her feature debut in the 2002 film, Punch. She played the role of Daisy, a staunch environmentalist and pastry chef on the TV series, Godiva. In 2005, she received a Gemini Nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Series for her work on the 7th and final season of Cold Squad.
