Peter Kastner

Although he was primarily known for his role in the 1964 film Nobody Wave Good-bye, Peter Kastner had lived a pretty full life in and out of the limelight before he died of a heart attack while driving his car in Toronto. From acting he had gone on to be a high school teacher, then learned how to operate a camera and had started toward a new career as a videographer. He had taken up folk singing and song writing and had performed in and around Toronto in the last few years of his life. One of his songs, Testosterone, was about why it is always men who cause war. Kastner dropped by the Northernstars.ca office in 2007 and allowed us to add his picture to the Northernstars Collection.
