When not on camera or on stage, Paul Cowling is often in studio dubbing the English voice for characters in animated series produced in other languages. For the series Strawberry Marshmallow he created the voices for eight different characters. He was nominated for a 2007 Betty Mitchell Award in the category Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in The Cripple of Inishmaan at Theatre Calgary. In 2015 he was in Becky’s New Car at the Martha Cohen Theatre playing the role of Joe, “a roofer with a bit of charm left in him after 28 years being married to Becky,” played by Tracey Ferencz.
