Born Nikolina Konstantinova Dobreva in Sofia, Bulgaria, Nina Dobrev came to Canada with her family when she was only two-years-old. Fluent in French and Bulgarian, in school she took ballet and jazz classes, and competed in rhythmic gymnastics. She took acting classes at Armstrong Acting Studios in Toronto. Much like Tatiana Maslany in Orphan Black, Nina Dobrev played the multiple roles of Elena Gilbert, Katherine Pierce, Katerina Petrova, Tatia Petrova, and Amara in the series Vampire Diaries. When not on set she loves all beach sports, including swimming, windsurfing and scuba diving. Nina Dobrev was chosen as one of the Top 5 Northernstars of 2010 by our readers.
