Miriam Newhouse

Miriam Newhouse is usually associated with the stage. In addition to writing about the theatre she has been involved at various levels. Working with the Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre, Newhouse initiated their Cital on Wheels/Wings program in 1968 which saw performers able to tour schools and communities through northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. One of her books is “The Actor’s Survival Kit” which was cowritten with Peter Messaline. The book includes everything the Canadian actor needs to know about the acting profession.
