Melee Hutton

Melee Hutton trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama graduating with the James Bridie Medal and the Citizen’s Theatre Award. She holds an MFA in Acting from York University and a Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of Acting, also from York, which is located just north of Toronto where she now makes her home. Selected acting credits in the UK include Our Country`s Good, Popcorn, Gibraltar Straight, Weldon Rising, Disappeared (London’s West End), Juno and the Paycock, ON, Lady Betty (The Royal National Theatre of Great Britain), and Julie Johnson (London New Play Festival Best Actress Award). Credits since moving to Canada include The Doll House (DVxT), Pericles (Festival of Classics), Mom`s Favourite Jesus (Buddies), Straight as a Line (Summerworks), The Seagull (Wordsmyth), Shakuntala (Pleides Theatre, dir. Charles Roy), and Creon (Stone Circle Project, dir. Vikki Anderson). In 2006, Melle Hutton and Christine Horne joined forces to start KICK Theatre in Toronto.

Melee Hutton is also an acting coach for film and television.
