Maitreyi Ramakrishnan

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario, just west of Toronto and is a graduate of the Meadowvale Secondary School. Known for her leading role as Devi Vishwakumar in the Netflix teen comedy series Never Have I Ever, she landed the role over some 15,000 other candidates in an open casting by Executive Producer Mindy Kaling, who is known for her work on The Office, The Mindy Project and Late Night. Ramakrishnan provided the voice of Priya in the Pixar film Turning Red (2022). She provides the voice for Zipp Storm in the animated Little Pony series. She made news in December 2022 when it was revealed she would perform with the National Ballet of Canada as one of the dancers trying to defeat the Mouse King in the annual production of the ballet The Nutcracker.
