Lynne Cormack

Lynne Cormack attended Toronto’s Ryerson University and went on to become an accomplished film and stage actress and teacher. Her theatrical credits include four seasons with the Shaw Festival, including performances in the plays The House of Bernarda Alba, The Apple Cart, The Madras House and You Can’t Take It With You. She has also appeared in numerous productions for CanStage and in regional theatres across Canada and the U.S. Her Los Angeles stage credits include Tennessee Jar, co-starring with Mark Ruffalo, for which she was given the L.A. Dramalogue Award for best performance. Just two of many other theatre credits include Brad Fraser’s Poor Super Man at the Manitoba Theatre Centre and King Lear at the Annex Theatre. For the past number of years, she has taught “The On-Camera Audition Lab”, along with workshops that also address the business side of the actor’s life. She also worked for several years with the Directors Guild of Canada, teaching an on-camera audition lab designed specifically for the Director’s audition process and point of view. Other teaching assignments include The Academy at the Shaw Festival, The National Theatre School of Canada (as a visiting director in camera studies for 4 years), the Directors Guild of Canada, Equity Showcase Theatre, St. Lawrence College and the P.E.I. Conservatory and she has taught at the Canadian Film Centre.
