Lannette New is a singer and actor with a background in musical theatre. She became interested in acting when she was cast in the role of Mrs. Claus in her Grade 2 theatre production. She moved from Victoria to Vancouver in 1993 and expanded her musical theatre experience by performing in shows such as Miss Saigon (The Arts Club), The King and I, Lucky Stiff, Honk!, Flower Drum Song, and many others. Her love of acting led her to pursue her career in film and television. An early experience was singing in the Anne Murray 2002 Christmas television special.
