Lamar Johnson

Lamar Johnson is a skilled dancer and actor. He trained at the Canadian School of Dance and attended school at St. Mother Teresa Catholic Academy. Johnson began to get noticed thanks to his role as hip hop dancer West in 115 episodes of the hit series The Next Step. He is pictured with his 2023 Canadian Screen Award for Performance in a Leading Role for his work in Brother. In July 2023 he was one of four Canadians to receive Emmy Award nominations. Martin Short, Luke Kirby and composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer were also nominated. Johnson’s nomination came from his work on The Last of Us.
