Karen Cliche’s career in front of the cameras began in 1999 and two years later she landed her first multi-episode series role playing Essie Rachimova in 26 episodes of Vampire High between 2001 and 2002. Like many other actors on this website, Cliche was born into a military family, which meant moving frequently. From Sept-Isles she has lived in Manitoba, Virginia and Germany. She stayed in Montreal long enough to study psychology at Concordia before her work as a model took her to Europe. That led to her acting career, which has taken her to Vancouver and Toronto. The series Young Blades was shot in Vancouver and she costarred in 13 episodes playing the role of Jacqueline Roget and that of swashbuckling male musketeer Jacques Leponte. To prepare for the role she trained with a sword master learning to handle slim rapiers and broadswords.
