Joel Chico graduated from the University of Toronto with a Specialist in Drama, Theatre and Performance with Minors in English, and Buddhism, Psychology and Mental Health. At the UofT, he performed in the plays Troilus and Cressida (UC Follies), Cyrano de Bergerac (Seventh Method), Flapjacks (Drama Festival), Of Winter and Summer (Poculi Ludique Societas), Five Fingers (WeWillMeet Productions), and Julius Caesar acting in the title role (UC Follies).
