Tony Award-winning actress Joanna Gleason has appeared in such films as Woody Allen’s Crimes and Misdemeanors as well as Mr. Holland’s Opus and Boogie Nights. On television she has had co-starring roles on Temporarily Yours and Love and War, as well as her recurring role as Anthony Edward`s love interest on ER. Joanna Gleason is also a television director and teaches acting and musical theatre in colleges and high schools around the United States. Joanna Gleason has four children and is married to actor Chris Sarandon. Born Joanne Hall, she is the daughter of Maurice and Marilyn Halprin who married in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At the time her father worked at the Canadian Wheat Board. He later started his TV career and after becoming known as Monty Hall went on to fame as host of Let’s Make a Deal. Monty Hall was also very well known for his his many philanthropic interests with organizations such as Variety Clubs.
