Janet Michael

Janet Michael is known mostly for her work in theatre as an Actor and Director. Most recently she’s played Charlotte Whitton in Sharon Bajer’s Molly’s Veil, Ernestine in Tomson Highway’s Ernestine Shuswap Gets Her Trout and the tough but loving matriarch of the MacDonald Clanin Alistair McLeod`s No Great Mischief. Selected directing credits include: Outlaw, Sylvia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Little Shop of Horrors and Bloody Business. She has performed for Western Canada Theatre as well as The Vancouver Playhouse and The Richmond Gateway Theatre in Vancouver, The Belfryin Victoria, Sunshine Theatre in Kelowna, Rocky Mountain Shakespeare Company in Lake Louise, Workshop West and Phoenix Theatre in Edmonton, Caravan Farm Theatre in Armstrong and Rising Tide Theatre and Resource Centre for the Arts in Newfoundland. She is presently Associate Director with Western Canada Theatre in Kamloops, B.C.
