Janet-Laine Green has been a working actor/director/producer/teacher for more than 25 years. She has some nine Gemini and Genie nominations to her credit and is as comfortable on stage as she is in front of the cameras. The Janet-Laine Green Lifetime Achievement Award is presented by Theatre Saskatchewan. Green holds an M.F.A. in directing from York University. Through her own company, Brief case Productions Inc., she has produced and directed plays across Canada. Most recently she produced and directed the highly acclaimed musical Menopositive! The Musical! In addition to her work as an actor, she has been teaching the subtleties of acting for the camera through Equity Showcase Theatre and for Players academy. She has taught at universities and colleges, ACTRAWORKS, the Summer Institute of Film and Television and is highly regarded as a private coach for film productions.
