Haji

Born Cerlet Catton in Québec City in 1946, Haji became an exotic dancer when she was just 14-years-old and later moved to California. She was discovered by filmmaker Russ Meyer at a topless bar. He asked her to audition for him and he cast her in Motorpsycho. Despite having no previous acting experience, she would go on to appear in five of Meyer’s films including what is his best known film, the 1970 feature Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, written by late movie critic Roger Ebert. No cause of death was reported for the actress who was 67 when she died in southern California.
