Gerry Dee

Prior to his comic career, Gerry Dee, who was born in the Toronto neighbourhood of Scarborough and started out in life as Gerard Donoghue, was a phys-ed teacher and hockey coach at De La Salle College in Toronto. Best known for his starring rile in the TV series Dr. Dee, in late 2019 CBC announced he would be the host of the networks Family Feud Canada game show. He also landed his first gig in a U.S. series in late 2019 when the Fox Network announced he would be part of the cast in the holiday event series The Moodys alongside Denis Leary, Elizabeth Perkins and fellow Canadian Jay Baruchel. Gerry Dee is pictured at the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards.
