George Buza is pictured above as Doubar, Sinbad’s older brother in a publicity still from the series The Adventures of Sinbad, which was shot in southern Ontario and in cape Town, South Africa. Born to Hungarian immigrants, Buza grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. The Arts were always a part of his life as his mother was an opera singer and musician and his father was an accomplished photographer. Despite those influences, Buza’s decision to become an actor was met with mixed reviews at home. He completed his high school education at St. Ignatius, then enrolled at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio where he pursued a double major of Theatre-Arts and English. In the mid-1970s, he moved to Toronto and became a Canadian citizen in 1998.
