Gail Maurice

Gail Maurice is a Metis actor, director and writer. She starred in and co-wrote Jorge Manzano’s award winning Johnny Greyeyes which screened at Sundance and brought her a nomination for Best Actress at the San Francisco American Indian Film Festival. She was also the Lead actor in Gemini nominated Big Bear. Her documentary, Smudge screened at the 2006 Sundance Festival. Based on her short film, Gail Maurice made her feature film directorial debut with the 2022 film Rosie, which had its World Premiere at TIFF 2022. We list her credits as an actor first.
